The short answer
Most wineries pay $50 to $1,250 a month, plus a fee on sales, a per-transaction cost, or extra charges for added features.
The price on a vendor’s pricing page is usually the smallest part of the bill. Compare the total, at your own sales volume, before anything else.

What you pay for
The four parts of the bill.
Every platform charges some mix of these. The mix is what makes two “similar” prices very different.
Subscription
The number on the pricing page, from about $49 to $1,250 a month. All platforms in one way or another tie the tier to your revenue, so it rises as you grow. That is not to take advantage; there are real costs to volume.
Platform transaction fee
A percentage of sales, a per-transaction cost, or a scaled flat rate, usually from 0.35% to 2%, 50 cents per sale, or hundreds of dollars added to the flat monthly fee. Check what it applies to. Commerce7 charges on gross sales including tax and shipping.
Payment processing
Card fees from your payment processor. Some platforms require their own payments product and share the margin. Others let you choose, or say they do not mark up processing. But they all share in that revenue, and some lean on it heavily, with a high markup to make up for lower software fees.
Onboarding and add-ons
One-time fees from $0 to about $5,000. Some force the use of outside contractors for integrations, templates or website builds. eCELLAR publishes $2,000 for account setup and $3,000 for data migration, $5,000 in total.
Bottom line: Bottle360 has saved every single winery money, some substantially, over every other DTC platform, and we are proud of that. Statements and invoices tell the true story. Bring yours for a savings estimate.

By winery size
What it costs at three sizes, compared to a few.
Percentage fees grow with your sales. At $150K there is savings, which grows as you do.
$150K
annual DTC sales
$1M
annual DTC sales
$3M
annual DTC sales
Annual platform cost from published rates: 12 months of subscription plus platform fees, with each percentage applied to total sales. Bottle360’s 0.35% applies to credit card volume only, so its real figure is lower. Commerce7 figures use the Basic, Pro and Experience plans at their published monthly fee plus percentage. WineDirect onboarding ($399 Starter, $999 Pro) is extra. Card processing is not included for any platform. vinSUITE and OrderPort are quote-based and left out. See the full cost with processing below.
Full cost
Add card processing and the gap widens.
Platform fees are only part of the bill. Most platforms also keep a margin on every card payment, and some add per-order or integration fees. Here is a full year for a winery with $3 million in sales, built from real customer-provided invoices and published pricing.
| Platform | Annual subscription | Processing margin | Other platform fees | Total per year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bottle360 | $2,868 | 0.32% | $10,500 | $22,968 |
| Commerce7 | $4,788 | 1.69% | $30,000 | $85,488 |
| Corksy | $15,000 | 0.86% | $1,200 | $42,000 |
| VinoShipper | $55,500 | 0.26% | $15,000 | $78,000 |
| OrderPort | $1,800 | 0.86% to 1.88% | $4,700 | $32,300 to $62,900 |
| eCELLAR | $15,000 | 1.50% | $50 per app per month | Not published |
Estimates assume $3 million in annual sales and a $150 average order (about 20,000 orders). Processing margin is the share of card fees the platform or its processor keeps above interchange; it varies, and no platform keeps all of it. Other platform fees include commissions, transaction or volume fees, add-ons and paid integrations: for Bottle360 this is the 0.35% fee on card volume; for Corksy, two integrations at $50 per month; for VinoShipper, $0.75 per order on top of a 1.85% fee on sales; for OrderPort, a $50 per month reservations add-on plus $0.25 per transaction above 3,600 a year. OrderPort is shown as a range because its processing margin varies by account. eCELLAR total is pending confirmation of its integration fees.

FAQ
Common questions.
What is the most affordable winery DTC software?
For very small wineries, low-cost plans such as Bottle360 Startup ($49/month, up to $100K in sales, all features) and Commerce7 Lite ($59/month, no transaction fee) have the lowest published prices. Every winery that joins Bottle360 saves over competitors, and they bring their actual invoices to prove it.
Are transaction fees the same as credit card processing fees?
No. A platform transaction fee is charged by the software company. Card processing is charged by your payment processor. Many wineries pay both. See how Bottle360 handles payments.
Why do some platforms charge a percentage of sales?
Percentage pricing keeps the entry price low and grows with your revenue. It can be the least expensive option for a small winery and the most expensive for a large one.
How much does it cost to switch platforms?
Published onboarding fees range from $0 to about $5,000, but data migration, website changes and staff training also take time. eCELLAR, for example, charges $5,000: $2,000 for account setup and $3,000 for migration, plus $150 for each integrated app and $50 per month for each one after that.
Is Bottle360 more cost effective than Commerce7 or WineDirect?
Yes. At published rates, Bottle360 costs less at every level of annual sales in the examples above. Your own quote depends on your sales mix and plan. We have seen prices vary wildly on some platforms, so be sure to get yours in writing before you sign.
